3 Men Gone Mad

3 Men Gone Mad were an independent group formed in Blackburn and Darwen in the UK. fusing electronic sounds with rock, think The Clash, Joy Division and Talking Heads.

The band were prolific in the 1990s when they became cult favourites amongst those who know including John Peel who included single ‘You Try’ in his annual Festive 50 in 1991.

‘You Try’ was reissued by Utopia Records Inc in 2023, permiating between music for rock purist and rave and balaeric connoisseurs alike is it Time for a rebirth? The Driving energy of the main mix brings the angst of Britian at the end of the 80s and the spacey dub a new found euphoric freedom. It’s hard to imagine how this 12″ single wasnt the start of something huge as it’s aged like fine wine.

The band are now back having dipped their toes back in the water in 2023 with a couple of gigs and ready for their first outing of 2024 here at Sunbird Records for what promises to be another special night in the history of 3 Men Gone Mad

Kurt Paterson

After a 10 Year Hiatus from the East Lancs Music Scene Kurt returned to the live circuit in 2023. Formerly of band The Lébrels who graced many of the lost music venues around Blackburn and Darwen. Now back with a new set of songs which he has been laying down in the studio in the early part of 2024, Kurt is ready to take on the world again!
