FRUIT TONES is a rock & roll gang from Manchester.

Nothing artificial – this is the real deal. Real music played by real people for real reasons. No budget. No gimmicks. No nothing. They’re the kinda guys The Shangri-La’s sang about, ripe & ready to roll yet again with their sophomore LP ‘Pink Wafer Factory’ out now via underground legends ALIEN SNATCH! and FUZZKILL RECORDS.

Self recorded, produced and mixed in their Manchester practice room during covid lockdowns and mastered by Mikey Young (Eddy Current Suppression Ring), ‘Pink Wafer Factory’ walks their tongue-in-cheek, born-to-lose sass through more thought out, self-assured arrangements and full budget Stones production, hammering in on that demented honky tonk VU choogle. The album is a dance party blueprint, and your Beatle boots will be soaken wet in no time!

It’s all there – the steam-rollin-mondo-garage-thud, Buddy Holly’s hiccups, ripping bass, blown-out r’n’r licks that’d make Chuck Berry blush, their legendary playful stop-starts and Tom Harrison’s vocal howl backed up by gang vocals from drummer Tomas Walmsley and bassist CJ Wood.

They’ve plucked only the ripest fruits from their early rock & roll, country, blues and garage punk influences and slammed them together with an integrity all of their own, this time they come out playing like they invented it all. The LP sleeve says it all – a sugar coated model of a bleak Manchester factory, this is music to quit your day job to. The daily grind morphed into a glam pink wafer knees up for garage rock good times.

They’ve been freewheeling it across the globe for a few years now – covering both USA coasts, SXSW and Willie Nelson’s ‘Luck Reunion’ festival as well as two laps of Europe on the back of their debut album ‘Natural Selection’ and now they’re back in the night (again).Ask for a good time, I give you Fruit Tones – the hit that won’t quit.
